RoboRAVE Colorado

We are hosting the second annual Colorado RoboRAVE competition on Saturday, April 1, from 9 am to 5 pm, at Monte Vista High School in Monte Vista, Colorado (295 E. Prospect Ave, Monte Vista, CO 81144). This low-cost, high impact robotics competition allows all youth robotics teams from Colorado and surrounding communities the opportunity to compete in events of varying difficulty levels. Youth can use any robotics platform valued under $1500. The 2017 contest will feature the following events:

a-MAZE-ing Challenge (Elementary & Middle School)

Precisely navigate an elevated maze, made up of 45, 90 and 135 degree turns in under 2 minutes. Gain extra points by finishing under the time limit.

Jousting Challenge (Elementary & Middle School)

Write a basic line follow program and build a platform for your water bottle "knight". Then face off against other teams to see who can knock their opponent's knight off first.

Line Following Challenge (Middle & High School)

Follow a line through junctions to a tower in order to deliver a payload of ping pong balls. Return to the starting point, and repeat until you deliver a set number of ping pong balls.

Alpine Bot Challenge (All Ages)

Climb an incline up a "mountain" and plant your flag on top. Try to complete the task in the fastest time, and deliver your flag to a marked location for maximum points.
